Furnace repair in Springfield — fast service, even at 2am.
When your furnace quits in February with a Springfield cold snap hitting 5°F, you can't wait three days. We run a true 24/7 emergency furnace service — real techs in trucks, average arrival 47 minutes.
The four most common furnace issues we fix.
Furnaces fail differently than ACs — they're more complex, more potentially dangerous, and the timing is usually worse (always at 2am on the coldest night). Here are the four issues we see most often.
Every job starts the same way: real diagnosis with proper tools, a flat-rate quote in writing, then the work. No commission pressure, no surprise charges, no "while-we're-here" upsells.

Real detail on what we actually do — not vague marketing language.
Failed ignitor
Modern furnaces use a hot-surface ignitor — a $40 ceramic part that glows orange to light the gas. They last 3-7 years and fail with no warning. Same-visit replacement in most cases.
Bad flame sensor
A dirty or failed flame sensor causes the furnace to light, run for 30 seconds, then shut off. Often just needs cleaning — sometimes replacement. Cheap fix, common cause.
Blower motor failure
If you hear the click but no air movement, it's usually the blower motor or capacitor. Common in 10+ year old furnaces. We carry replacements for major brands.
Cracked heat exchanger
The serious one. A cracked exchanger can leak carbon monoxide into your home. We test for it with combustion analysis on every furnace call. If yours has one, we'll show you and red-tag the unit until it's replaced.
Failed gas valve
Less common but happens. The valve that controls gas flow to the burners. Replacement is moderately expensive ($350-$650 typical).
Pressure switch issues
Often a blocked condensate line, a bad inducer motor, or vent obstruction. We diagnose the root cause, not just the symptom.
